The Senior Calm

Time can wait for me today so I can think of a way to stay completely calm and not in the way of the senior person who has come to stay but do not let me hurt her pride she is old and very wise to let me sit by and by To hear her thoughts good times and bad To see her face light up and go sad How she lives her life today Remembering people that are gone away How they made her life what it is today I am thankful she let me in To Share her full life good and bad Just to hope that she is not sad But happy to have lived a long, long time She made me glad that she was here To know that I was part of the good times not the bad, that I made her happy and not sad How blessed we are to be able to listen and know The special seniors in our lives who If not for them we could not grow.
