The Sea

What is it about the sea and me? The attraction is so strong. I know I am 80% H2O, but U are 2. Has it something to do with the full moon? Today I rescued star fish, crabs and sea urchins. Marooned on the sand. The opposite of "Out of their depth." That means tonight, as we speak.... It's high and deep. Is it too late to go for a swim? Please join me ... LET'S JUMP IN!!

Thank you Beata. My muse deserted me last summer but I see her now as a gift from the universe to get me through my darkest times after my marriage breakdown.

I like your style of writing, Jean. It comes natural, fresh and tinged with humour. I also love the sea, being lucky enough to live 10mins away by car. Stopped swimming in Nov after a long summer starting in May! I am sure poetry has been a very effective remedy for you:) ~ All the best. // paul

Thank you Paul. My father owned a Music Shop, selling instruments. I remember as a child him coming into the house laughing. He said a German had just asked him for a book on how to learn music by ear. Likewise, there is no book I can buy to teach me how to write poetry.

so it looks like you have been here a few weeks. Did you go and take all your former poems down then? Let me read this first one you did when you came back.

You laughed your head off. My poems were more naughty then. I left a different website recently because my character was assassinated after posting an innocent little poem called CLITORIS. I have learned my lesson. I will try and behave here, although that is not easy for me and my mischievous mind. See if you can recognise who I an referring to from here in my next poem THE DRIVING INSTRUCTER

Gosh, after a hard day in charge at work, it's lovely to hear positive, encouraging comments. I have decided to post one a day in the hope that even one person might like it. Poems are funny things. They are so personal yet we want to show them off.

I grew up by the sea and like to be close to the shoreline whenever I can. Music is in my blood as my father was a musician. I sing, play piano and accordion. Most of all I like to dance. I love to banter and enjoy a good laugh .My children are leaving the nest and I have loads of free time. I am a midwife and have worked part time since my first born. So, I am independent and like it that way. Thank you for this warm welcome SKAT. Training would do me no good. I write from the heart only.

My humble thanks John. It must be obvious I have no training whatsoever. If emotion counts, then this and those to follow are all from my heart and soul.
