The Resistance
The Resistance
The resistance
they walked proudly in
the brightness of that day
Comrades in arms
with flags held high
in unity of solidarity
beneath the barricades
under a flaming sun
Two percent stood that day
against the odds
they won the day and
Occupied France fell away
Mothers with children
fathers and sons
brothers and sisters all
In the streets that
all was held at bay
Paris was theirs once again
a right of spring that’s ode to joy
for a country set free
