The Resistance The resistance they walked proudly in the brightness of that day Comrades in arms with flags held high in unity of solidarity beneath the barricades under a flaming sun Two percent stood that day against the odds they won the day and Occupied France fell away Mothers with children fathers and sons brothers and sisters all In the streets that all was held at bay Paris was theirs once again a right of spring that’s ode to joy for a country set free
