''The Rain Came''
When I left home the sun was shining bright,
then clouds appeared above;
dark and sinister, drifting t w i s t i n g and swirling,
rain began
f

l
l
i
n
g in quiet little drops.
Soon it was a drenching downpour assault,
at first it was quite delightful;
then things went from nice to a d e l u g e of rain,
a great flood of water;
I was starting to p a n i c,
what was needed was Noah's Arc to save me from the surge;
oh yes come on- lower that ramp for this d r o w n i n g girl . . .
