''The Rain Came''

When I left home the sun was shining bright, then clouds appeared above; dark and sinister, drifting t w i s t i n g and swirling, rain began f a l l i n g in quiet little drops. Soon it was a drenching downpour assault, at first it was quite delightful; then things went from nice to a d e l u g e of rain, a great flood of water; I was starting to p a n i c, what was needed was Noah's Arc to save me from the surge; oh yes come on- lower that ramp for this d r o w n i n g girl . . . ____________________________ August 30, 2016 Poetry/Verse/"The Rain Came" Copyright Protected, ID 16-824-700-0 All Rights Reserved. A metaphor? It seems to be too often about my life BW. The sun shines, the rain falls and there, too often, is no release from the storm.

Rain is a lot like love. When it first shows up it's usually pleasant but then when it starts to come on a little strong, we always run for shelter. Great write, Constance.
