The Other Side: of Suicide

Year after year you've attempted to die, While I hold your kids as they cry. Both of us surviving similar pasts, But now have chosen different paths. Attempting to take yourself away, From pain filled children on birthdays!! Refusing to take the parental role, Focusing on a lightless hole. Expecting them to suddenly forgive, When they question if you'll choose to live.
