The Night of the Pumpkin Eater
NIGHT OF THE PUMPKIN
EATER
News flash!
If you’ve carved a
pumpkin
For Halloween night,
Cut eyes, nose and
mouth
Then put it in sight
Well,
Police have advised
Old Jack’s on the
prowl,
Powerful, stalking,
With temper most
foul
Warning!
He’ll climb your
porch steps
With slobbering chin
Take up your pumpkin
His mouth stuff it
in
So?
Vegetarian
This creature from
hell?
No! Carnivorous,
Jack
Eats dogs, cats as
well
Alert!
If you should see
Jack –
He looks like a
troll,
Fat, short and ugly
Who swallows things
whole –
Gulp!
Lock doors and
windows
Then turn off the
lights
Hide kids, so tender
He’s extra hungry
tonight
