The New Rising Star of Our Day
Monica Bellucci is the new rising star of our day,
stunning was her performance
in The Passion of Christ;
purity reflected in her merciful face
and her embodiment of Mary
was far greater than Her plight.
Which other actress was better fit
to act that complicated role as the Mother of Jesus...
when sophistication was replaced by simplicity?
Was it too hard for her to adapt
to an era where the sword silenced voices
and peoples felt animosity?
