The Muse Comes Home
Come in my friend, now don't be shy.
Was lost without you, can't deny.
I sat among the leaves of life,
But, could not find a single tree.
Floated water vast and wide,
In search of waves upon the sea.
Come in my friend, you're welcome here.
Sit down beside me, melt my fear.
Believing you had left me friend,
Creative thoughts came to an end.
I searched the mountains, streams, and skies.
Paged frantically through books of verse.
But all I found were thoughts that I,
Must be the victim of a curse.
Please, sit down in the chair right there.
I've got a pen, Let's go somewhere.
