The Long Red Line
There is no one righteous,
no not even one.
So God sent one man, sinless,
Jesus Christ, His Son.
God sent Him to redeem the lost,
to pay sins debt for man,
So God could see them righteous.
It was His redemption plan.
There's a long red line that reaches
from the Cross at Calvary
Across two thousand years of time
with power to set men free.
That precious Blood was shed with love
'twas God's redemption plan
To come to earth and pay the debt
of lost rebellious man.
Jesus was the spotless Lamb,
He lived a sinless life.
He died upon a Rugged Cross
the perfect sacrifice.
He rose again to live eternal,
went back through Heavens gates
He sits beside the Father
and with open arms He waits.
And that long red line that reaches
from the Cross of Calvary
across two thousand years of time
will set all captives free.
That precious Blood was shed with love
and covers all man's sin
So now we too can go before
God's throne and enter in.
