It keeps beating every second of every minute in the hours of the day Like the ticking of the clock it never ceases from moving in a steady rhythm Sometimes it falters a bit but it goes back to its routine of giving life The moment it stops beating life goes away never to return ever again Poor heart it never complains despite the burdens it has to bear and the feelings of pain At other times it feels like it would burst into fragments when it is hurt How foolish to feel such tenderness and love only to be sad Lonely heart when will you learn not to trust and to drown yourself In the ocean of love To be lost in its grip till it hurts so much pain from being broken how can one heal a broken heart?
