The Latest Generation

Much has been said, and rightly so, about The Greatest Generation, And the notable achievements they've bestowed upon a grateful nation! They struggled thro' The Great Depression and endured the brunt of war. So very much we owe to each of them for everything they bore! Now, The Latest Generation has stepped up to bear the battered yoke, A generation tempered like steel and as sturdy as an oak! They've assumed the challenges to carry on the nation's affairs, Building upon the foundations laid by their stalwart forebears. Young men and women of The Latest Generation readily volunteer, To defend the Constitution and the precious freedoms we hold dear. They've seen the horror of war and, alas, too many have forfeited life, On foreign soil, fighting heroically upon the fields of strife. The Latest Generation produced astronauts who endeavor to embrace, And explore the fascinating mysteries yet unseen in outer space! So many worlds remain to be discovered in God's majestic universe, As thro' the vast celestial dome they so courageously traverse! Many are the demands that lie ahead for The Latest Generation, But they will face such obstacles with resolute determination!
