The Last Love Poem
THE LAST LOVE POEM
Like a dry carcass I feel nothing no more
Empty inside
Still picking up the pieces you tore
A once overflowing fountain of love,
Your love filtered from its inhabitance…
My heart filled with red,
Course vein, a gush tainted with sorrow bled
Heartbroken by your mixed emotions
A part of you smiles “blank space” and blows a kiss
A fortress built to keep me away- amiss?
A skipped chapter consolation to your needs,
Like I never happened…
A part of your life you “loved” for so long
Yet to conceal its last chapters with a title from a simple song
Words I can’t ever take back
Memories
I wish we had, to take us aback…
I don’t hate you,
Never did, never will
It just so happened you were a “jilt”
Forgive my words, forgive my actions,
I never meant to waste your time
Like a kite, I flew in endurance to your change of wind
A ping-pong ball hit back n’ forth,
From your love to your rejection
Back and forth you showed me remorse and affection
My sin to love, even after, my only regret of affection
A gazelle lost in the woods of your feelings,
You thrust an arrow to the heart whilst un-expecting
To you I wish pure love
To you I grant my ever pending thoughts of our time cherished
Blurred ink on the love shared in our chapters
Pages erased without any warning whilst I still held onto
It takes two to love
I wish you find someone who will,
the same as I did for both of us…
