The Importance of Salvation - Hebrews 2: 3
God has declared His gospel story
paying the price of a perfect sacrifice
that He should purchase His own
on the cross then from death, He did arise
This great salvation cost the eternal God
of giving His only begotten son
all of His holy seed He gave up
for our so great salvation, He won
So having received this salvation
we must not neglect our free prize
for it came at such a great cost
as Jesus revealed His heartfelt cries
Jesus calls us to discipleship
following Him taking up His cross
not to neglect this precious salvation
to do so will be our loss
To neglect this blood-bought salvation
will rob us of our eternal hope
how can we escape God's displeasure
such neglect will send us to our slippery slope
AUTHOR NOTES: ' how shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was declared at first by the Lord, and it was attested to us by those who heard' Hebrews 2 v. 3
