The Healing Power of Prayer
He was buried so deep in as far as society goes
On the street he'd sleep and to God only knows
He would beg for money and use it for his habit
And like the energizer rabbit he just couldn't quit
Day in and day out and now it's just year by year
He was among life's rout and to him it was clear
Until that late fall day when he abruptly changed
In taking a moment to pray priorities rearranged
Being so wet from the rain in trying to keep dry
Suddenly he felt this pain in seeing his own lie
A pain of the heart that he had never felt before
For he was the whole part and knew it to his core
So he checked himself in with the Lord by his side
Never before could he win no matter what he tried
But now the Lord was there and carried him through
Going from the lions lair to sitting in the second pew
Luke 10:19
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions,
and over all the power of the enemy:
and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
