The music and movie always brings a lump to my throat and a tear in my eye every time I watch it.

My favourite film which tells the story of trombone player and big band leader Major Glenn Miller This love story shows his rise to fame and fortune and tragic death His music still enjoyed by people To this very day Contest: Favourite Movie Sponsor: Nayda Ivette Negron 01~02~16

I was raised on Rock 'n' Roll Jan, but now as an avid record collector, i love all music, especially Glenn Miller, of which i have dozens of his vinyl lp's. Wonderful poem and dedication.

Hi Jan, a film always remembered by me. The music, as good today as it was back then. I listen to the music quite a bit actually. A well written piece Jan. What greater accolade can a musician and composer have that their music is still Loved after they are gone. A great movie, a great poem. A seven for this one Jan. Have a good day....Vladislav.

I am old enough to remember Glenn Miller and his 'presence' in my young family life, but I have not seen the movie. I want to now. Good luck - I'm fairly sure no one else will choose this movie and probably not this limited, more challenging style - I like it ... CayCay

" Pardon me boy, is that your Mother's dress you're wearing, size tweny nine, in the Debenhams line........." Anyway, apart from the twisted lyrics of my youth, I still rate this film, especially the scenes where Glenn spices up the parade march, and that moment after he has disappeared when June Allyson listens to him on the radio. And the music is timeless. Great write, Jan. Viv x
