The Girl Over There

The Girl Over There Look at the girl over there, the little blond one hopscotching on the corner. She used to be me or was I her? She can’t still hop but never runs out of chalk and potsy stones are everywhere. Wanna play? ©Kathryn McLoughlin Collins

The time of childhood is brief. Great visual verse here. Peace & Love Matthew Anish

Ah yes... time passes... swiftly... yeah, would like to play too, but if both of us "can't still hop"... well, I guess reminiscing is also good... ;-) Anyway, a great poem... Terry

Delightful! You'll never grow old, if poems like this are anything to go by. You'll always be 'the little blond one.' Love, Keith

so few are the years of childhood. perhaps when we get to heaven we can put on age six, one day and sixteen on another. but until then we will have to wait.
