The Gift

Pliant, pleading flesh, Exposed, over exposed, recesses. Sheath of wonder, pain, poise Full of sensory joys. Held in, held up, dis played; Cherished birth, God gifted days. Living, longing flesh, Envelope of humanities rest. Convoluted cause of distress, Immediate source of redress. Held in, held up, dis played; Cherished birth, God gifted days. Encircled, enclosed, re formed, Vehicle of love, so, reborn. Arise, synthesize, surprise ploys; Full of sensations joys.

Pleasures of the flesh..soft smile..they are God's gifts too. Angels don't get them, only humans do.

The cycle of life, birth, rebirth (spirtual). I read this and the comments several times and I can see it in these ways. I love the couplet lines and the effect of the repetion! Beautiful, interesting, write, my fiend! Love, Robin

Stanza 3 is magic girl, and ties the detail together. You are crossing borders where your imageries cross reference so many allusions. Are you conscious of them? I love the play.

Smile~"Hello Gifted and Precious Deborah Guzzi!!"~I sincerely hope that life has been treating "You" wonderfully dear lady!!? This was a very well written and intriguing write~it made me think of a mother and her baby? The baby being the focus of the wonder within the write? The reason for the awe and thus the thankfulness? Smile~I loved it!!!~"My Love and Warmth To You Always Deborah, John!!!":)

Interesting perspective of the birthing process, Deborah. Can't help but wonder what is in the mind of an infant at the moment they leave the womb and enter the world. Nice work, Carolyn

Thanks for the advice, I guess I should have put fictional at the bottom of my poem, LOL. But in reality I have six grandchildren, two boys and four girls. I became a grandma at the age of 10 ..ha ha okay that too was fictional...LOL-AA
