The Ghost In In My Driveway

I think it’s time for you to leave I don’t want what’s up your sleeve Stop jamming your foot in my door Stop leaving footprints on my floor Take your needles from my cheek The feeling’s gone, I got cold feet I don’t want your numbing kiss I don’t want your Christmas gift, You whisper to me while I sleep, Into my bones you try to creep, With icy fingers and runny nose, But each day your grip erodes, Through the snow the buds will rise, And spring will leave you euthanized, Drop by drop reduce you down, To a puddle on the ground, When you succumb I’ll give a wave, As you dissolve into your grave.
