The Forgotten Wedding Anniversary
The Forgotten Wedding Anniversary
By Elton Camp
Come on, wives, please get real
He forgot, so what’s the big deal
He’s still around, isn’t he?
He cares, you can easily see
With a young chick he didn’t run away
Rather, with the old hen, decided to stay
The anniversary date why didn’t you say
It’s ever so much easier on all that way
So his secretary a gift could arrange
Thus keep him out of the firing range
You knew what to expect when you wed
“Men are apes,” it’s correctly been said
Apes lie around and scratch all day
It’ll never become any other way
Dates to apes are a foreign concept
It’s their nature, they’re not inept
So why should you be upset at all
An anniversary he didn’t recall
