The First Moments of Class
Title: The First
Moments of Class
Backpacks,
Lunchboxes, and Toys
is what I lay eyes
on when they parade
in the speechless
classroom
During the time I’m
behind the desk
chalk in hand
outlining the day
after day class
duties on the
chalkboard
Chatter, Chatter,
excessively volumes
of chattering , and
rambling
An I’m all ear
The children our in
cheer the way they
are grinning at each
other is like their
mother said,” Hey
Dear.”
An the time tics
till near so that
means a frown is
clocking down it’s
near
Then The School Bell
Sounds and the
children glimpse up
with fear
Ok children will you
all be placed in a
seat the
schoolteacher says
Completing your
schoolwork is just
like choirs so stop
the modest feeling
and just be obedient
Like a penny dropped
in a quiet room I
overhear a little
boy mumble man The
first minutes of
class are constantly
sickening.
