The Failures of Life
Subliminal jealousy
It's a pity
Why do you keep measuring my devotion?
You think I would leave but it's only
Your conceited truth
That could make us drift apart
But I won't let it come that far
Because I learned and I am loyal
And now I'm sounding just like you
When we'd be the purest souls
Perfect people in imperfect circumstances
Colliding and repelling just like magnets
I failed to say the things I should
When the moment was right
Too late, wrong time, wrong choice of words
I thought you knew but you keep guessing
Can't be pleased by reactions
Would I care if things were different?
I never thought I could be one of the lost ones
Talking about heartbreak and isolation and the typical downfalls of an obliterated life
Then I fell right into it
Can we ever overcome these failures of life?
