The Experiment

Over mantle rides
Cloudy eyes
Brimming with beauty

Gliding gently on
Eagle flies
Spreading wings beyond

Closely calling a
Distant sound
Over here do come now

Watch this unfolding
Light appear
Waiting for substance

Future unfurling
Before us
Wonder of nature

Praising for poets
A haiku
To share learn and keep

Trusting and willing
The reader
To hope and believe.

Definitely an immortal write, a true beauty of the English language, a mind of awesome genius exploiting the genre to its fullest. Rich and sweet. Love it!

I think that your experiment is in the syllables...Good! Although I prefer the "classic 5,7,5", this piece is a plesure to read, Joanne. Check the Choka form...it would help. Have a great day. Ruben.
