The Exodus - Going To Come

In the beginning, The world was dark and desolate Cold, numb, grave and lost – Lost in its overwhelming nothingness; Unfeeling, unloving. Living without a name. The world was static, Changing yet remaining the same. Yesterday became today and today became tomorrow. The world was wide and endless Going round and round In big circles But ending in the same place Like an old dog running to catch its tail – Running but remaining there. West was East and East was West. Then there IS one who had a mouth. From His mouth sprouted both day and night… The land, the sea and the sky… The stars, the moon and the sun… The plants, the fish and the birds. A new day. Flowers blossomed. Evening became morning and morning became day. From His mouth also came Man! Days became centuries and centuries became NOW! Man transformed! He grew restless and dissatisfied with what he saw! He willed for autumn to come in May And snow to come in June! He longed for more yet settled for less – Remaining the same in order to change! Days became nights and nights became…NIGHTS! In the end The world is still dark and desolate Still cold, numb, grave and lost. Honesty is a luxury we cannot afford Love remains a story untold. Man Lost in his ego-fueled ambitions Driving the world too fast to nowhere. There is no future so we keep in the past. In the end The end has become the beginning!
