The Enemy Inside

You tell me I’m not good enough, And that I’ll never be. All my talents fall too short, For anyone to see. You tell me I’m too stuck inside, A mind filled with clutter. No one wants to be with me, My life is in the gutter. So quick are you to find my faults, Mistakes you don’t forget. My life goals unattainable, That’s your highest bet. To remove you from my life, Would be the correction. The problem with that theory, Is you’re my reflection.
