The Diogenes Club

It is a Friday night
And after a long day of hard work
I just need a little peace of mind
So I am going to a club tonight

But it is not an ordinary club
It is not a place where men drink,
Play billiards, play darts, eat,
Or listen to music from a DJ

This is a club where men go to read
It is a place of absolute solitude
Membership is open to all men
But a word of caution:

If one man dares to speak
If he so much as coughs
He will be expelled from the club
It is a pretty simple place to find

In a big air conditioned building
So I got my copies of Sherlock Holmes novels
And I am heading down there right now
I am heading to the Diogenes Club
