The Day I Met Fear
Today I shook the hand of Fear
And he directed me to a brick wall
He said I had to get over it in order
To get through it all
He said he wasn't there to kill my dreams
But to show me just how hard
And that the better part of it
Would be the longest yard
He also said that I had the choice
To delve or just give it up
Cause the reward on the other side
would be to fulfill my empty cup
I stood back to look up the wall
And said "destiny here I come"
I wasn't going to let fear of accomplishment
Think that he had won
I put on the armor of Fierceness
And began my treacherous climb
Positive that I could get over it
And obtain what was mine
Fear stood back and watched me climb
Unsure of what I could do
As I approached the top, I turned
to tell him... "I just made a fool of you"
