The Cost of Living

Roads I’ve taken, paths I’ve trodden, Where I’ve walked and been forgotten, Tell me what new name you hold Beneath the feet that walk untold, Not knowing of their sorry lot – That they too will be soon forgot Miles I’ve traveled, journeys taken, Where I’ve gone and been forsaken, Tell me what face looks upon The darkness fading to the dawn, In hopes their newfound love will stay, Until they find it gone away Forests passed and fields fled Where another dwells instead, Tell me if it’s worth the cost To live your life and have it lost.

live your life and have it lost-i like this last verse-i think we live our life and never loose it but gain another life when we die or as i see it sleep to wake up in the land of dreams,a land much better than here-where sorrow have no means-well penned----charma
