The Bum

Sitting there feeling so numb,
he's dreaming of being a Bum
          just for a while...
          all in his smile...

She said she had nothing to
lose,
by doing the things she would
choose
        all in her time ...
       and all in rhyme...

She's so disappointed with him,
there's nothing more that he
can win...
        for he's to blame...
        and it's a shame!

She really can't trust him no
more!
He was rude and it opened the
door ...
       just to shut down...
        and be a clown!

Be a clown, or just be a Bum!
She's fed-up and having no fun,
      as she would brood...
      You're just so rude!

To be on his own once again...
She's gone from him now till
the end!
        And it's for real...
      but she would steal...

His heart, all the feelings he
knows,
are gone from him now, so he
goes ...
       back to his dream...
    where she would seem...

To never tell him good-buy...
but promise, forever, the sky
         and just to see...
         If he would be...

The someone, he never could
be...
but waiting for her... just to
see...
       only her once more...
        It's such a chore!

To wait for her just to survive,
this heartache of being alive...
It all must end, and he can't
bend...anymore!

But saying, 'I'll always be there'
Life, sometimes, will never be
fair!
       And so he'll smile...
        just for a while...

And maybe, he'll just be a
Bum...
or dream he's a Clown on the
run...
All in his style, just for a while..
          with a smile...!
