That Day
Coming into existence
One day at a time.
Looking around at all
Eyes full of wonder and fear.
The world surrounding
Becoming desolate.
Full of destruction
When will it fall?
People stumbling blindly
Not seeing the terror before them.
The end is near
With only time to tell.
The sky full of light
Shines over this hell on earth.
Angels enclose empty space
Then part to make room
He peers at the Creation
Sorrow clouds His eyes.
Then a sudden transition occurs
Changing His look to joy.
With a blow from the angel’s trumpet
Saved souls follow the Savior.
Those lost forever
Left to cry in pain.
Going into eternal existence
Last day forever this time.
