Thanksgiving Day

Through the years of harvests and droughts domain Happy for each blesing the thankful heart remain Abundance of faith supply the feast of famished souls Nurtured in contentment where the season rolls Kindness is the door that welcome men from grief Sunshine brings hope cornocupia from the fall's dry relief God bids gather family and kin, bids us remember Incessant answers to incessant prayers, so we may praise Victories from his throne. What change then would canker Implores of piety? What bowels empty where bread decays? Nature tells with laden tongues that God provides Give the gift of joy's thanksgiving till time subsides. Deity is the beginning of cherished hopes and dreams Anchor now the roots of trust within his silver streams Yesterday is but a myth, the sun forever ripen gleams.

My friend, you use the English tongue so well, but let me provoke another conversation, what will you with this thing after you possessed it ... where does it speak to our liberation when we liberate the world with it? Never mind my activism, David, this is a great poem you wrote for thanksgiving
