Teeth and Claws
Your words have bite,
And scratch like rusty nails,
Through my heart,
They bite deep as sin,
And hurt like broken bones,
No other has managed to scar me so,
With your words of teeth and claws,
Like sliver Fair Folk,
With teeth of glass,
All too fickle in their affections.
No other has managed,
To dig their claws so deep,
Into my still-beating heart,
Or to so effectively severe my self confidence
With their jagged teeth
CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISCISM,
I was just a kid.
I will bear these scars,
Knotted,
Ugly things,
On my heart,
Fear,
And Hate,
Accompany.
I do blame you,
And your devil's tongue,
The teeth and claws of cowards,
For my own fear,
For my pain,
Because the wounds still weep,
Fresh blood.
