Tears on a Page

The tear fell onto the page As she weeps Crying for a torn heart Unleashing the flood Of terrible pain Of heartache Of hurt feelings Bleeding tears Depressed onto the paper That is wilting Under the pressure Of her eye water Weeping she leaves An impression Right there on the page Where her words of love Used to make sense But now is being erased By each drop Smearing life away From the tender words That used to sprawl Across this destroyed paper She then throws the page Out into the world And out of her life So she may start anew Without the sadness Of the past To creep up onto her And grab her She’ll never have this pain Ever again

I can sense her pain and see the ink smeared page from her fallen tears. Brilliant poem of sensitivity for a woman's heartache. I love this poem Russell. Warm Smiles, Connie
