Talent
In your word immersed
from prayer I've arose.
In meditation unrehearsed
to write my daily prose.
My fountain dry and soul driven
I pray my fear you'll allay.
That this ability you've given
is gone just for today.
Without considering the cost
I once foolishly laid this aside.
For many years it was lost
this talent seemed to hide.
Never shall I seek credit
beyond that you will approve.
That my talent you'll edit
but please Lord, don't remove.
