Taking It Slow

When your hearts a total wreck It’s so hard to find a speck Of glimmer and hope anywhere Your mind is telling you beware If you’re cautious you’ll begin To notice it’s easy to win A love that is meant to last If you do not fall to fast It is a big obligation As you confess your dedication To that someone who is special Making your mind start to wrestle That this love has now established Into something that could ravish With no thought or consequence Leaving your heart on the fence As your trying to decide If everything you feel inside Is enough as you get older Or will this love just get colder You want to give it one more try Before the years pass right on by As you find out love has merit Never wanting to forget it
