Take a Stand

Wind blown thoughts chilled served raw on a distant plate sorrow a home cooked meal and loss was all one could feel Injured souls sacrificed for the good of the whole tagged and bagged through muck hearts dragged Dreams of a slow kiss on a Saturday on top the hill watching God's picture show boys turn to men with sounds of a gun life or death no chance to turn and run Even today as grey clouds rumble close engrained in more than just a memory a love for your country and fellow man child are you brave enough to take a stand

Good poetic way to express the evil and horror of warfare.
