Tagore

Heed the fond feel with songs you write, Urge prompts a fest with fond insight; Mould words that heal as truth now cites, Align bold quest with a sure light; Note frame of mind to live and learn, Inspire the art of living here; Seek and define the path you yearn, Thrill in clear start sure muse that cheers. Thrill with calm voice the precious soul, Abide with grace and moral stance; Glimpse in fond choice your blessings whole, Open to face as seasons dance; Rich works outlive a certain time, Expound to give such profound chimes. Beautiful, Leon. A sonnet worthy of the name as your title. One of my earlier favorites. I have forgotten to visit his works. This reminds me to do so. Good morning! Kim :)

Dear Kim: Rabindranath Tagore was a man ahead of his time in his vision of offering universal education to make the world a better place. He used the money from his Nobel Prize for Literature to finance his school. He wrote more than 2,000 Bengali songs which are still remembered today. From time to time, I re-visit his Gitanjali (or Song Offerings) which is simply illuminating. Leon
