Such a Small, Silly Little Thing

It was such a small, silly little thing- hardly worth mentioning... but how could I spew such vile, hateful words? Cheeks flushed red, eyes cast down she turned clumsily and stumbled away... fading in the mist It was such a small, silly little thing- hardly worth mentioning... but how could I spew such vile, hateful words? Cheeks flushed red, eyes cast down I turned clumsily and stumbled away... fading in the mist It was such a small, silly little thing- hardly worth mentioning... but how could I spew such vile, hateful words fading in the mist...

Congratulations on your win Tim. Sometimes we tend to spew stupidity. The best scenario, we don't ever do it again.

This struck a cord.....how guilt can follow one throughout our lives. No small, silly thing......too often the small things are the giant things in retrospect. I like this poem a lot!

Such is the potency of words Tim! 'forty years ago'- that got me. Note to self-be careful what you say - little doesn't seem little anymore. Nicely penned!

I just love the way you did his contest theme. I hope I can come up with something, but i see I am running out of time!!! about my friendship poem, do you remember, it was meant to be talking of a girlfriend, though it was fictional nonetheless.

Dear Tim - It's hard to let go of our most reprehensible moments. Forty years is a long time to be haunted. love, Kathy

You have given a new color to your small, silly little thing in this wonderful write. It often happens Time, such small words penetrate deep and remain there for a very very long time and thank you once again Tim for your kind words on my new Poem. I hope the world would one day understand the reality one day. Love and best wishes...Ravindra
