String of Pearls
STRING OF PEARLS
Remembering that night of you
the peak of what mere light can do,
those tiny rainbows shone,
to what was mine alone,
about your neck in purple, gold and blue.
from hiding deep within the sea,
in oyster shells, so perfectly,
the treasure is all mine,
continueing to shine,
throughout my very fondest memory.
Your string of pearls, and no regrets,
lead me to where no mind forgets,
my coming on for you,
was all that I could do,
beyond a loving dare, or losing bets.
Becoming one of those you wear,
about your neck, touching your hair,
I'll be a loving stone,
like you have never known,
and strung upon your necklace there.
Breath deeply, I will be with you,
when you're most needing someone who
has loved you just because;
and for what good it was;
who'd die to be another pearl for you.
