Street Walking Killer Part 3

With a spot now to visit The detective then knew He’d watch the street corner But stay out of view Many had walked This street in the night So he had to be certain And do this just right He brought in plain clothed To go undercover They’d seek out the business Of street walking lovers Back to the rooms All seedy and dark The men entered in Seeking their mark When, one night a break Had happened their way One a regular John Had a higher price paid But in the same place As the cops undercover So they hoped for a jump On this street walking lover They discovered the room With warmth on the sheets A body to the side Yet dead, not complete It spoke just one word Before it proved dead The word he had said Had sounded like “red”
