Stranger In a Foreign Land

I came back to say hi You gave me the cold shoulder I spent the rest of the night drunk My buddy asks what's wrong "I only want to hold her" He helps me forget about my funk Be careful For what you wish You may get it If things are wrong Just be strong Keep yourself alive And now I wait for her To awaken from her slumber My heart and chest are on fire I've got so much to say But I know there's no salvation I'm going to have to start again And rumors have got around I've lost the town I called home I am more lost than I've ever been Pull the shades Cold rolls in My room is frozen Nowhere's safe Nothing's sacred What is left for me?
