Stay

If I ever told the world that I was wild, I'd be stating the obvious. But how far do you expect me to take the meaning. The word I own and the person that I am, dark and light; they can't take us. Sadly for you, I couldn't tell you what side you'd be seeing. I don't fall in love, because I was born with a prophecy in the true of my veins. They state the following, "child of the sky and moon, never too apart". Tear stream, lip bite, skin scratch is all that I let ever rain. Don't accept any less than a constellation of the hero. Dipped my heart in silver, so there's no way to it. It's about damn time that I got used to the motions. Fine chains and spikes of diamonds couldn't be closer knit. What an illusive, selfish being that I am, an ongoing erosion. Can you hear how my footsteps match my pulse? Can you see the way my eyes never leave the sunrise? Belong with no single person, no special group, occupation, or cult. Don't be flattered, I manipulate everyone with deceiving eyes. You won't be missing me anyways, so I'll have no trouble saying goodbye. And you'll never know the truth of me anyway. I'll never cry for anyone again, now I stop myself before I even try. Because there's no way I can make someone live on skyscrapers with me, or even stay.
