Spiritually Speaking

Like art, religion is subjective, beauty in eyes of those obliged followers experience aesthetics within their own realms of rapture, differing philosophies kickoff wars amidst myriads of gods to choose, merely beholden beyond spiritually wholly invested belief in one true entity inasmuch as thy brethren's blood is shed in the name of an all-consuming omnipotence

sigh... the old "freedom from thought" bit. If I force others to think as I do, then I no longer have to think. Always amazes me, embrace an omnipotent "CREATOR" and then declare a death sentence for "creativity." So it goes. Well said, btw. MORE COFFEE!

A beautifully expressed POV, Paloma. My God is Love, so those professing to kill in God's name, aren't my brethren. Strong poem, well stated case. First poem of yours I read, but will read more for sure. You have such a strong independent mind. A free thinker like me respect that most of all whether I agree or disagree. Mad props to you. Also that was a compelling title that made me select it as the first poem to read. Love and peace to from the RW (Romantic Warrior.)

War in the name of religion, kind of an oxymoron it seems. Die, because you don't believe what I do. Makes no sense to me. Nice little poetic rant Paloma. Even with a subject such as this, your poetry still flows beautifully.

Paloma, it's so sad when religions cause war and contention in the world. I got that inside this clever poem.
