Spirit

My spirit longs for the breeze that the summer brings My spirit longs for the birds who fill the heavens with beautiful song My spirit longs for the smell of the flowers My spirit longs for the breeze that the summer brings My spirit longs for the sunrise and sunset My spirit longs for the sweet tea my grandmother has perfected My spirit longs for the sweet taste of freedom that comes only from summer My spirit longs for the breeze that the summer brings.

Hello... Thank you so much for the encouragement... I've just started writing poetry... I have 2 more on my page that are way better than this one... You should read them. Thanks again, and I look forward to the journey I will be taking as a poet! :)
