When you look ahead O man, what do you see? What do you do?
Do you want me to tell you the way I see it, when I look at you?
You see one vulnerable, who’s days are numbered, insecure
But I see your every hair numbered by Me, your days are sure
You see a man who’s arm is short, unable to feel the way ahead
Unable to see what lies before, your future you begin to dread
But I see a man In My own hand and My hand goes where it would
A man created by Me and My plan for you is good
When you are in My hand but facing in the other direction
Looking ahead to plot you way into your own perfection
You have only to turn around and then you will see
You are in My hand, holding you up in front of Me
But you forget Me and trust in plans as you weave them like a web
You feel safe in them like in a cocoon, as you look out ahead
Web like plans are thin and weak, turn around and look at Me
I can destroy them with one blow, and bring you back to reality
You fear man and don’t fear Me, when you plot what to do or say
Stop this futile foolishness, turn now and look only upon My face
See My eyes of love are on you always, as I hold you in My hand
Your greatest fears will never appear if you will embrace My plan
I know you! You are not alone. You have only to look on Me
See Me in your every situation, I alone can be your peace
Sit upon My lap up on My throne, come and take your place
Stop trusting your foolish plots and trust My amazing grace
