Sometimes a Smile

In wrongful adoption, sometimes never weighs a conscience kept

This transparency of godliness

Forever - rightly swept...

Yet for all babies in smile, they know not moral barometer in leveled accuracy of depth

For this is where lay our humanities of consequence and of the secretly wept

Their tears brought on by choices of our design
A payment due, certain to come harshly with such passage of time

Yet, how are we to enact what many a destiny has chose
For it is only these hearts bequeathed with this sad nature of these sad, sad roles

While trying to stand here tall, yes, you see my eyes have been welling
Yet, never will I rue this coming day, of these children an a telling
For compromise never listed as quite compelling, except for those who were doing all the selling

As an outright oppose, I now challenge a truth already written with the weight of those who suppose

So with pages bleeding while openly reading
There begins a pouring of tears
An accounting of innocense
All sworn silent through these long, long years

So it is I who say to these children of the "never said"

"Our word is the door to our truth, sometimes marked in lamb's wool red!"
