Soaring Kites

Kites fly high in the air Line spools whiz fast to support Souls twine in joy bare Skies dotted in color transport. Soaring hopes, they are fun If their attitude is strung good Launched fairly, far they run Well bridled, winds they withstood. The young grow with their flight Learning to handle ups and downs Their horizons expanding infinite In the otherwise livid daily frowns. A celebration of our freedom Kites bring cheer to one ‘n all Many take it up as a passion With glorious feats up ‘n tall. Kite-flying in few places is a culture Spreading positive energy and loves Spring and rainy season in particular Allow the Indians to fly them in droves. Date write: 4.7.2014

Well written, good luck in the contest. It is amazing how kites transcend culture, yet at the same time are very much a part of it.

Thanks Mark for liking. However, I have slightly changed the last line to '...them in droves' instead of '...their doves' as by kites here I imply not birds but paper kites. Mohan
