Slow Love
Slow down the river though you love the flow.
Such eyes see only smooth pretty current.
Such eyes seem sure sunshine shall always show.
Slow down the river, let it breathe content.
No – do not be in love with loving me.
Yes – I could gift you loving prose filled thought -
Infer full spectrum love for us to see,
But reality would soon have us caught.
Some days I’m insane, will you love me then?
Slow down the river, with love hold my hand.
When I am useless, will you love me then?
Slow down the river, see how love will land.
The love we feel may only be mishap.
Slow love, for now just hold me in your lap.
