Sitting on the Porch

Let's go sit on the porch
and watch the people go by.
See the little children smile
and look at the clear, blue sky.

Time to take it easy,
feel the cool breeze below.
Let's go sit on the porch
and just let the world go.

People seem so friendly
when they see you siting there.
Sometimes the little ones
will stop and stare.

Let's go sit on the porch
and watch the people go by.
they smile and wave at you,
I often wonder why.

It seems these kinds of days are fading away ever so slowly. It's refreshing and, almost, reassuring that this state of mind still exists. I truly enjoyed reading this.
