Sitting, Chilling Out

Whilst sitting neath an old Gum tree So many things I love to see Watching Rabbits bounce around And listening to those awesome sounds Water trickling quite nearby Black birds flying in the sky Such lovely peace it fills my heart I sit here practicing my art Writing poems is what I do As I sit beneath the sky so blue

Dear Vera I'm glad you liked my springtime poem, it's a cold spring here right now, it seems like the weather just can't make up it's mind or something. Four days of warmth then the temp drops down, so now we wait for the heat to come back. I was thinking of the real springs of my childhood, those were the days Vera, not like now hot, cold, hot cold. I miss those warm times, you can't even plant anything because you don't know what tomorrow will bring, cheri

Harry thank you so much for this lovely comment, yes it is Oz. Gum trees are native and they grow so big, I think nearly every garden has a gum tree, take care........Vera

Dear Vera We do have alot in common my sister, I use to be able to just sit still and listen, sometimes I close my eyes and remember. I miss those times, and I love the solitude of these images you put forth here, my dear girl, absolutely, wonderful piece. From what I've read from you and Peter's poems life there seems so much slower, a gentler pace. Where here everything goes at a faster pace, I'm just a country girl at heart, and miss that slower pace alot, cheri

Ahhhhh! Cheryl my dear, wouldn't it be lovely if we could both sit together under an Old Gum Tree, with a cup of lemon Tea and have a good old chat, yes how wonderful and like you I am a country girl at heart, life can be pretty slow here at times but only because we live on the outskirts of Perth, take care my dear friend........Vera
