Side Effects
Whenever the day begins
Amidst misery
I am in the Looney bin.
If I ask for a moment
Of lucidity
I am married to torment.
Do you see my dilemma?
The insanity!
This is not my agenda.
I can’t switch from fright to fight
With this remedy
Man forged in a sleepless night.
But I do want to be seen
Avoiding crazy
Like everyman between.
